The R/C Barnstormers’ Freeze Fly has been a staple flying event for many, many years. This fun fly occurs every January 1st. No matter the weather, it is never cancelled.This event draws a unique list of diehards who will fly in any kind of weather, especially with the advent of electric motors. The shelter is blocked up with tarps, heaters are fired up, and chili is eaten! It is always a challenge to see who will be the first to fly in the new year. Right, Art? If you have never been to one of these, you are missing a wonderful time sitting on the bench seats and watching the pilots fill the sky with their airplanes.
